Mr. Sherman is the founder of the
Firm. With an extensive investment banking and insurance
industry background, he is actively involved in all
aspects of mergers and acquisitions as well as private
financing advisory services.
Prior to founding LMC Capital in 2004, he was the Director
of Andersen’s Corporate Finance - Financial Institutions
Group in New York, where he developed and headed the
firm’s investment banking for the insurance industry.
He has advised and consulted with many domestic and foreign
life, health, property and casualty insurers, as well
as, state departments of insurance.
Prior to Andersen, Mr. Sherman was a Vice President in
the Global Insurance Banking Group with Citicorp Securities,
Inc. in New York for 7 years. At Citicorp, he managed all
business development activity with multinational and domestic
insurance company clients including originating, structuring
and closing financing, derivatives and securitization transactions.
Laughton received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems
from Clemson University and a Master of Business Administration from the University
of South Carolina.
