Mr. Vaughn has twenty years of highly successful investment banking and corporate management experience.  He leads LMC’s M&A practice for insurance technology/services and also provides advisory and expertise to the firm’s other insurance industry clients.

Before joining LMC, Patrick was a managing director at Triarch Partners, a Charlotte, NC boutique investment bank, where he led the firm’s technology M&A practice.  Prior to Triarch, he was president and CEO of Market Velocity, Inc., a technology services company formed by the merger of Atlanta-based TradeUps and Charlotte-based MoonBuzz, Inc. (founded by Mr. Vaughn in 1999).

He began his career as a management consultant at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and, after attending business school, worked five years in the Corporate and Investment Bank at NationsBank (now Bank of America). He later held senior business development positions at Broadway & Seymour and Pegasystems, both Nasdaq-traded CRM software vendors, before starting MoonBuzz, Inc.

Mr. Vaughn earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
